Braylee Wynn, CNA, Honored With Integrity Award

Congratulations to CNA Braylee Wynn for receiving an award from the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN)!

“It’s an integrity award, and I guess they (staff) value me a lot! I’m super excited that they think of me like that. I love my job. It’s the best place I’ve ever worked. I’m kind of shocked, excited and honored,” said Braylee.

Staff who nominated Braylee for the award shared this passage from the application form:

While working in several different departments over the years it has helped Braylee gain extra knowledge by knowing residents in different atmospheres and capacities. She handles even the most difficult residents with tender love and care, displaying empathy and genuine concern. She is honest, has strong morals and we can always rely on her to make the right decision and do what’s in the best interests of our residents. Braylee has the capability to handle emergencies and rise to stressful situations with a bright positive attitude. She has become a valuable part of our team. Braylee consistently goes over and beyond the normal call of duty with our residents.

According to the AAPACN website, the AAPACN Awards celebrate the work of the dedicated professionals who belong to American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination (AANAC) and American Association of Directors of Nursing Services (AADNS) and who embody the vision and values of AAPACN. They reward the work of long-term and post-acute care nurses and professionals in the categories of integrity, innovation, inspiration and influential. All winners are celebrated at the AAPACN Annual Conference in Atlanta, Ga. next month.

“The award makes me eligible for a scholarship which would help me further my education. I could really use that,” said Braylee.

Braylee is working on her pre-requisites to be a licensed practical nurse (LPN). She plans to work as an LPN while going to school to be a registered nurse (RN) and then get her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree after that.

Congratulations, Braylee!
