Memory loss affects everyone differently. That’s why we offer individualized care plans based on every resident’s needs, and we update the plans regularly to ensure our seniors receive the right care at the right time. All of our memory care team members receive ongoing education and training to stay current in the methods of caring for residents with memory loss.
PMMA has more than 25 years of experience and leadership in offering specially-tailored programs for seniors living with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor incorporates Behavior Based Ergonomic Therapy (BBET), a practical therapy program developed by Dr. Govind Bharwani. Based on ergonomics and neuroscientific research on the progression of Alzheimer’s disease, this therapy is designed to improve the quality of life for people living with Alzheimer’s. Since the program’s launch in 2010, the BBET program has won six national awards and spread to more than 14 senior living communities specializing in memory care in three states.
