Seminar teaches caregivers how to communicate with loved ones

Communicating with a loved one dealing with Alzheimer’s or dementia can often be challenging. That’s why we invited the Alzheimer’s Association Central and Western Kansas, along with Rayna Neises of A Season of Caring for an Aging Parent to visit Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor, to present effective communication strategies.

The July event was part of Presbyterian Manor’s “Just Ask” seminar series—a free, lifelong learning program featuring information from local, regional and national experts on topics of interest to older adults and their families.

"Having the Alzheimer’s Association come to present along with Rayna was wonderful,” said Whitley Stokes, marketing director. “I learned a lot and I hope those in attendance were able to take the skills that were shared and use them to help their loved ones."
