Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor Grand Reopening Rescheduled

In an effort to keep their community’s residents and staff healthy, Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor has postponed the campus’ grand reopening and ribbon cutting event scheduled for March 27. The event will be rescheduled at a later date.

“We understand seniors and health care workers are at a higher risk of experiencing serious infections. Due to the concern and desire to protect our residents, volunteers and staff from COVID-19, we are cancelling the grand reopening ceremony we had planned for March 27 and will host the celebration at a later date when we can all celebrate without the concern of putting our community at risk,” said Sarah Griggs, executive director of Arkansas Presbyterian Manor.

On March 13, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced new, more stringent recommendations for in-person visits at senior health care centers. Under the recommendations, all senior health care centers are to strictly limit visitors to the communities.

Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor plans to reschedule the grand reopening and ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate 40 years of service in the Arkansas City community and to unveil the newly remodeled entryway and common spaces throughout the campus. Following the ceremony at the newly remodeled front entrance, tours will be given of the remodeled interior spaces and apartments.

The Art is Ageless exhibit, set to kick off with the event, will be moved to an online format using Facebook. Watch the Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor Facebook page for updates.
