Just Ask: Senior Cyber Cafe - Online shopping and more

September 18, 2021
,
9:30 AM - 11:00 AM

Free in-person event series offers smartphone and tablet assistance for seniors September 18 and 25.

It's time to turn the table and stop asking your children or grandchildren for help with your tablet or smartphone. Learn how to navigate your device at a series of free Senior Cyber Café events at Steamy Joe Coffee Shop & Cafe, 216 West Central Ave. in Ark City, beginning September 11. The second session will be September 18 and the final session will be September 25.

Your children and grandchildren will be coming to you for assistance after this seminar series! We'll cover the basics, like sending emails, downloading attachments, sharing photos and searching Google. We'll also address some advanced topics, like how to use maps and which apps to download to make your life easier.

Session two, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. September 18, will feature the ins and outs of online shopping with your smart device. Learn how to create an account to shop online and how to download applications, books and photos, and read books right on your device!

The final session from 9:30 to 11 a.m. September 25 will focus on your questions. Bring your questions and your device – android or Apple – and get the answers to your toughest challenges with your smart device.

The “Senior Cyber Café – Navigating Smartphones and Tablets” series will be in person at Steamy Joe Coffee Shop & Cafe, 216 West Central Ave. in Ark City. The events are part of Presbyterian Manor’s Just Ask series, a free, ongoing lifelong learning program featuring information from local, regional and national experts on topics of interest to older adults and their families.

Space is limited. RSVP one week in advance for each session to Whitley Stokes by calling 620-442-8700 or emailing wstokes@pmma.org or registering online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/160104794751.
