Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor to host a gardening workshop

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. – Learn tips for planting herbs and vegetables for your garden and enjoy refreshing cocktails and sweet treats during a free event at Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor April 21st.

Jana Linke of La Hacienda Greenhouse in Arkansas City will share best practices for planting and enjoying herbs and vegetables in your home garden. Linke will lead a live demonstration on planting practices in the raised garden beds at Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor. Learn how to plant and care for herbs and vegetables.

“Gardening & Cocktails: Garden to Table” will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor, 1711 N. Fourth St., Arkansas City. Participants will receive a seedling to take home and plant in their own garden.

“Gardening & Cocktails: Garden to Table” is part of Presbyterian Manor’s Just Ask lifelong learning series focusing on topics of interest to seniors and their adult children.
