Anna Robinson knows all about change

Whether it was for her career or around the campus, Anna Robinson, RN and assisted living supervisor, has seen change for the good.

Anna started working at Ark City Presbyterian Manor in 2000 as a CNA. She then worked to obtain her LPN in 2003 from Wichita Area Technical College using the scholarship program through PMMA. A move in 2005 took her to Oklahoma, but she returned to Ark City – and our campus – in 2010 as a charge nurse in healthcare. In 2016, she received her RN from Northern Oklahoma College and in January 2018, she accepted the position of assisted living supervisor.

For Anna, coming back to the community was an easy decision.

“We are family, it’s just home to me,” said Anna. “It gives me great joy to get to care for our residents and their families with a wonderful group of people who care as much as I do.”

During the two different times – for a total of 14 years – she’s worked here, Anna has not only experienced changes in her role, but around the campus, too.

“There have been a lot of changes through the years through both the way care is provided and to the building itself with healthcare renovations, fourth floor memory care, third floor renovations along with the second and fifth floor, and now a new canopy for our main entrance,” said Anna.

The culture of care has changed here, too.

“We put more emphasis on what the resident wants while still providing quality, safe care and educating residents more on their disease processes.”

In her free time, Anna enjoys going to kid sporting events like wrestling and basketball, fishing, reading books and harvest times. She also enjoys spending time with her family – she has three sons (Tyler and Mikey are in high school, Troy is in college), one daughter (Samantha, who is in Jr. high) and a boyfriend, Terrence, who farms.
