When someone you love has Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, taking time for yourself can seem like a selfish act. But setting aside time for yourself and seeking support can improve your health and your ability to care for your loved one. The Dementia Family Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month at the Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor campus in the Clubroom. Anyone in the Arkansas City area who is providing care or has a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia is encouraged to attend. The group is sponsored by Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor and the Alzheimer’s Association of Central and Western Kansas.
