Adult Day Services

A meaningful way to spend each day

Caregiving is demanding, and everyone needs a break. Adult Day Services at Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor offers caregivers for people who are affected by Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia in the Arkansas City, Kansas, area a temporary rest from caregiving, while your loved one enjoys a day filled with activities in a safe and secure environment.

Adult Day Services benefit the person receiving care as well as the caregiver. It's a good way for you to take time for yourself, while knowing your loved one is in good hands. Day services are available in memory care, where we employ Behavior-Based Ergonomic Therapy for residents with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

The BBET program is based on ergonomics and neuroscience research on the progression of Alzheimer's disease and the changes that occur in the brain. The BBET approach to memory care and dementia care offers individualized therapies tailored to your loved one's likes and needs.

Every employee who provides care receives ongoing education and training to keep current in caring for residents with memory loss.

Day services participants are able to socialize and enjoy structured programming while the caregiver is free to take care of personal business, shop, relax or enjoy time with friends. Using day services can support and strengthen your ability to be a caregiver.

Day services provide respite to family and caregivers while enabling participants to continue to live in their own home. At the end of the day, participants return home with their caregiver. Services are offered in full and half-day options.
